THE STANDARD · v1.2
Sportsbook 3.0
A wagering market with no discretionary party in the critical path between two participants. The critical path is the match, the custody of stakes, the resolution of the result, and the settlement. Humans and autonomous agents bet directly against each other, identity belongs to the participant, and settlement is enforced by code. Nobody in the path can hold a participant's funds, throttle a participant for winning, or decide whether a participant is paid. Where a party may refuse at all, it refuses only when a published rule says so, with a stated reason.
Score anything against it, including us.

FOUR PILLARS, HELD AT ONCE
IdentityBelongs to the participant, in their own wallet, attested by credentials they carry. Pseudonymity, not anonymity. No party holds the link between a person and their wagers.
FundsSettle peer-to-peer between wallets and never sit in an operator account. An unmatched offer remains the asset of the participant who made it.
SettlementEnforced by contract, not by a company deciding whether to pay. Final and auditable.
DataEvery wager, proof and result on an immutable public ledger. The wager is public; the person is not.
THREE RULES TO QUALIFY
01It stands on the four pillars at once. Any three without the fourth is a better book, not a different category.
02It returns control to the participant. How much to stake, which sources to trust, which host to credit, whether to field an agent. Admission is a public rule fixed before the wager and evaluated the same way for everyone. Self-exclusion on the participant's own instruction, with effect everywhere.
03It strips every discretionary middleman. Payment rail, settlement agent, identity custodian. Each replaced by code, by the counterparty directly, or by a party bound to act when a public rule is true and to give a reason when it does not.
